The Warrior and Invincible range of trucks was significant to Guy Motors as it heralded a movement into heavier trucks than had been produced before. There was a first set of Invincibles in the mid 1950’s but it is the later Mark 2 versions that are now remembered. The styling of the trucks was very modern compared to what had come before from the company, and featured a new cab with steel bottom half and fibreglass top half. Twin headlamps were featured for the first time in a commercial vehicle, and the iconic sun shade and wrap around windscreen were immediately favoured by truck fans. Some have said that the design was the most stylish of trucks ever made.
As well as looks, the range offered a comprehensive choice of engines, gearboxes, axles and wheel base configurations.
