Guy Motors was very adept at advertising right from the early days of the company. Here are a selection of some of them.

The advert above shows an early example of the “Feathers in our Cap” motto, associated later on with the Indians head mascot. The origin of this saying was that the American Indian tribes of the great plains would reward deeds of valour with the warrior being able to wear an eagle’s feather in his headband. Once enough victories were gathered, the simple headband became an elaborate headdress or warbonnet to contain all of the feathers.
